The Cuddles for Kids has reached a new milestone in its ministry. This ministry was instituted 4 yrs. ago in response to a need at the local community hospital. The ministry is to provide teddy-bears to children who enter the emergency room for evaluation and treatment. This ministry has now passed the 1000th teddy-bear level of distribution. The nursing staff has reported that the use of the bears in the ER has been a Godsend for the children who receive them. the calming effect is almost instantaneous in nature. Recently one of our members visited the ER and saw one of our bears in action. A child had injured his knee and was in the ER for treatment and had received his Cuddles for Kids bear. He was hanging on to it; clutching on to it tightly to his chest. We are blessed to be able to provide this ministry to frightened children as an example Christian loving kindness and will continue to provide Cuddle for Kids bears. 26 August 2017

This Sunday July 16th is a very special day. We are celebrating the 90th birthday of one of our members John Angelo. The festivities will start around 2PM. Cake and ice cream will be served along with laughter,stories and the renewal of old and new friendships. Come prepared to meet with all of us who have known John and celebrate with us. Recently the Gridley United Methodist Church has placed a Blessing Box along the walkway leading to the front entrance of the church. This box is dedicated to feeding and helping those who are in need in our community. The box is filled daily with non-perishables and other items which are needed by our neighbors-toothpaste,toothbrushes,soap, and other hygiene items. If anyone would like to donate to the Blessing Box, please do so. Thank all who are making this ministry so successful. Peace be with you. 11 July 2017
